Clear Soap Bases
Clear Soap Bases offer you so many creative options when it comes to hand crafting your own bar of soap.
To get the best results from your Clear Soap Base remember the following hints and tips -
-
try different colours and shapes.
-
makes ideal gifts and presents for friends and family.
-
the major component of the soap base is water so melting it to too high a temperature will dehydrate the soap and lose the transparency- take care not to overheat
-
overheating can also cause burning of the soap which also leads to a loss of clarity.
-
when using a soap mould, make sure it has a smooth finish. Any textured finish will appear on the soap giving the impression of a loss of transparency.
-
do not overstir or you will create air bubbles.
-
test your fragrance with a small amount of melted soap as it may cause it to become cloudy.
-
avoid finger prints on the finished soap as you will notice them
We stock Clear Melt and Pour soap bases from two of the major British Soap Manufacturers- the Claranol range from Kays of Ramsbottom and the Crystal range from the Stephenson Group.
