Epsom Salt BP/FCC Grade

Epsom Salt - British Pharmacopoeia Grade/FCC

Epsom Salt is also known as magnesium sulphate. Originally it was found in Epsom, Surrey but today it is a manufactured product.

It is commonly used in the bath as bath salts where it is said to ease stress, flush out toxins, help ease migraines plus other benefits.

Use epsom salts for treating aching muscles, sports injuries, foot baths, relieve sore muscles and for just relaxing.

101 uses for this salt ranging from bath salts to a skin softener to cleaning your bathroom tiles. It is also used in the gardening world to correct magnesium deficiencies in soils and plants.

Recently the growth in the floatation market has highlighted the benefits of epsom salt in the floatation tank.

Only available in 25kg sack due to the BP grading.

What does BP grade mean?

BP stands for British Pharmacopoeia and means that the epsom salt is produced to the pharmaceutically accepted grade for internal use as laid out by the British Pharmacopoeia. If you are intending to use epsom salt for internal use then this is the grade you need.

The BP grading is being phased out and is being replaced by a FCC grading.  This means it meets the specification laid down in the United States Food Chemicals Codex.

We only offer this grade in 25kg bags due the strict packaging requirements needed to maintain the BP/FCC classification.

If required we can provide the Certificate of Analysis that comes direct from the manufacturer on a per batch basis, simply send us an email.
