Organic Shea Unrefined Butter
Organic, crude or unrefined butter with a natural appearance and odour. Off white in colour with a grainy texture makes this a very natural product.
It is proving to be extremely popular for both soap and bath bomb products.
It will add skin smoothing properties to your soaps, is great for dry skin and has been used for centuries for its unique skin care properties. A great moisturiser even when used on its own.
Shea Butter is an extremely versatile butter with a very low melting point making it ideal for bath bombs and body butters. It is solid at normal room temperature but melts on contact with the skin.
If you are adding Shea Butter to a melt and pour soap base then we would recommend that you melt it first. Add up to 5% - any more and the soap base will become very greasy and not lather at all well. Less is more on this one!
Remember that if you are displaying products that have a high shea butter content on a hot day, that they can melt and not look as intended. Best to keep them cool.
